Wine Can Spice Up The Sex Tonight

So, today is Valentine’s Day and if you are like me you will probably agree there is no need to prove my love to my wife by buying flowers at an exaggerated price that will die almost as soon as you put them in the vase or cards that are a waste of money and extremely environmentally un-friendly. For me, I am going to cook my wife a fantastic meal, eat at home by candle light and let the alcohol (by that I mean the fine wine I have for this special occasion) be the stimulant for a steamy night between the sheets. A fine wine is, after all, a great aphrodisiac -not to mention the oysters I have on ice!

In fact, the alcohol can join you and your lover in bed with you so I ask….who and what are you sharing your bed with this Valentine’s night?

I remember as an adolescent thinking it would be cool to sip Baileys from my (then) girlfriends extremely sexy belly button. It was a good idea in principle only I then realised that I hated Baileys and she realised that the sugary, horrible liquid got stuck in the screw part of her belly button ring and rendered it useless. Oops!

Whipped cream (you know the squirty one) is a better alternative to ice cream I always found as the ice cream melts and, if you’re suddenly barged in on by a nosy room-mate or parent, the whipped cream can easily cover your modesty a lot better and more conveniently that a scoop of ice cream does.

 

But I am older and (I hope) wiser than when I was a teenager experimenting with foods in bed with the girlfriend. I have a wife, a kid and although I do have a cleaner at home, I’d rather she did not have to clean a bed made up of Baileys, ice cream or whipped cream. Thus, in order to still enjoy the foreplay but without all the mess I decided to look for wines that would be fun to use and increase the libido!

A great stimulant and a prequel to a hot and steamy Valentine’s night would be a good bottle of champagne. Champagne is a drink commonly associated with celebration and, like it or not, Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year where, more so than proving your love, you are celebrating your love for your other half. Also, gaseous alcoholic drinks are said to hit the blood stream faster because of the bubbles, hence reducing the lag time between opening the bottle and ‘getting it on between the sheets’.

One wine that has to be an integral part of your festive raunchiness is Sexual Chocolate as I am sure that sex and chocolate are two things all women and most men love to be given. There is no chocolate in the wine, but there’s plenty of sex in the bottle. This is a great wine for sharing in bed pre and post a good bit of horizontal exercise, and have no doubt that anyone who buys this wine for you on Valentine’s Day only has one thing in mind. Better still, grab some real chocolate to pair with the wine and make the night even more romantic.

How about about pouring Sauternes over your lover’s naked body and consuming it thereafter from said naked body without using your hands? There’s something just right about the viscosity of Sauternes that makes it a great sex toy (much better than Bailey’s I must say) as it clings to the skin and, if sweet things are your style then I can highly recommend a bottle of Sauternes joins the  two of you in bed tonight. Just remember, it’s a sticky wine and that means sticky bodies!

Valentine’s Day is not just about sex however, it’s about making your loved one feel extra special for one night of the year. It’s a time to cherish your relationship and, if you are lucky enough to be able to have some fine wine over a nice romantic dinner then all the better for that. You can, of course, use wine in more ways than one so spice up your love life tonight and let wine help you create passion and lust between the sheets – you never know, it may be the start of a truly meaningful love affair between the three of you!
